Woodside’s actions threaten the future of AFL, so why are we still advertising it on our chests? Freo fans are calling full time on fossil fuel sponsorship.
Join the team to kick out Woodside.
Woodside's only goal is to find new fossil fuels to dig up and burn, with little concern for the harm caused to us, our communities and homes.
It continues to screw us for profit.
Who’d want to kick a footy around with a guy like that???
So Woodside has to buy its friends, and for 15 years it has been buying its way onto the Freo Dockers team.
While the sponsorship seems like a good deal for the Fremantle Football Club, it isn’t charity. Woodside covers our players, fields, and even us, the fans, with its logo to advertise itself as a good friend, integral to the Club’s growing success. But we’re not convinced.
Woodside is taking us for a ride. The company’s gaslighting and greenwashing only makes it more difficult to criticise its harmful behaviour and to call for a change to its ways. Our team is being used to protect its dirty reputation.
Our players and our supporters deserve a sponsor who doesn’t deceive the public, dodge taxes, drive up energy prices, destroy sacred Indigenous sites, drill coral reefs, and continue digging up fossil fuels in a climate crisis where heatwaves increasingly threaten to cancel AFL games.
We deserve a sponsor who doesn’t risk the future of the sport we all love. While we don’t want to lose team funding, members bring in twice as much money to the Freo Dockers as all of our sponsors combined! (And if you happen to be a multimillion dollar company, let’s talk👀)
Our team does us proud every single game, we just want a sponsor we can be proud of too.
Not only are you being drafted to a community of dedicated Dockers fans and contributing to growing our club to be the most vibrant and successful team in the AFL, but you’ll also gain access to some awesome perks.
Join these local legends and fellow Freo tragics and become part of our underdog team. Like our 2026 Freo squad, they need your support to get the job done!
